Is she SURE there was one there?  For some reason, I do not have in mind 
that Effingham was a division point on the IC; there would likely not 
have been shops there unless it was a division point.  Effingham was on 
the Champaign District approx 72 mi. so of Champaign and shows only as a 
regular stop for passenger trains.  (IC employee tt 9-29-35 for the 
Chicago & Champaign Districts of the Illinois Division).  It just does 
not seem there would have been anything there but a passenger and/or 
freight station.  I remember going through there for years on the "City 
of Miami," but do not remember any other facilities, whereas I certainly 
remember same at Champaign and Centralia.  Would you ask her to double 
check and let us know?  Perhaps I missed something there.
