Someday some future anthropological archeologist will come upon somehow
certain information..
A passenger line ran between New York and Port Jervis.
A passenger tourist line runs from Honesdale to Lackawaxen for god sakes
And let's say a service from Binghamton to Syracuse (this must be quite
scenic, I'll sign up..)
But no connection Port Jervis to Lackawaxen, to Binghamton..
This would maybe puzzle him...
This is kind of Bush's plan for Amtrak..gaps in service because a State
doesn't want to bother chipping in...
Actually Amtrak doesn't like loops.....they eliminated one way to
Washington, they lopped off the second train to Montreal, they don't
believe in GCT...It would be great to go to Syracuse and come back
through Binghamton, even if it might take over 24 hours on that return
trip..
I can dream can't I....
Where is Shohola, was it on a rail line?
Paul
