(rshsdepot) Looking for Historical Information

Hello.  I just joined this list because of my interest in railroad history.  I'm currently a member of the NorthStar Chapter of the NRHS, and am also a Civil War reenactor.

  As a reenactor, my unit hosts a civil war battle reenactment each year.  This year we are focusing on the Battle of the Weldon Railroad as part of the Petersburg campaign.  It will be held at Forts Folle Avon near Danbury, Wisconsin from 15-16 June.

  We recently constructed 600 feet of fresh rail line on the site and have a hand car on loan to us from the Duluth-Superior Railroad Museum.  However, as we work on the depot, we are faced with a problem - we need to know the history of the Highball.

  Here is an email that I received from one of my unit members today.

"Hi Jeff,
Phil and I need your help with railroad history for
the event.  We would like to put up a "High Ball"
on our BEAUTIFUL! Railroad Depot at the fort.
BUT...only if it would be period correct.
Can you ask your RR web network if the High Ball 
is Pre-Civil War or Post Civil War?
Ken"

Does anybody have an answer to this question?  Would appreciate a prompt response if you do.
