(rshsdepot) Arizona historical railroads

The Atlantic & Pacific line from Isleta NM to Topock CA didn't exactly
become ATSF in 1893. It was jointly owned by the SLSF and the ATSF. In
1893 what happened was that operations were conveyed to an ATSF
subsidiary, the Santa Fe Pacific. The right-of-way and the land grants
became the property of the New Mexico and Arizona Land Co, a subsidiary
of the SLSF.
Of course, by an irony of history, the SLSF and the ATSF are once
again united in the BNSF.
