Re: (rshsdepot) Baltimore REA Building, PRR Penn Station

Interesting the reporter seems to confuse the railroad-owned Railway
Express with its bitterest enemy, the post-office run Parcel Post system.
Railway Express went out of business because, its railroad owners said,
their private business just couldn't cope with the "unfair competition" of
the publicly-run government-subsidized post office. Guess one of these days
Fed Ex and UPS will find out they haven't really been among the
fastest-growing, most profitable, most respected companies in business.
Does it make anyone else wonder what somebody else could do running
railroads themselves in the face of publicly-subsidized highway and air
competition?
