AMTMA Adds Toy "Scalefest" Event To Area's
                 Popular Railfest Weekend

                 ALTOONA-The area's popular Railfest event will include an
additional attraction this year
                 when the Altoona Model Train Museum Association (AMTMA)
opens the doors to its great
                 train show and model railroading event dubbed "Scalefest"
Oct. 6 and 7 at Altoona's
                 Station Mall.

                 "There's no better time to have fun with model trains than
when you're having fun with big
                 trains," said AMTMA President Gregg Miller. "We're excited
about this opportunity to
                 showcase the great hobbies of model railroading and train
collecting when thousands are
                 already in town enjoying Railfest."

                 Adding to the excitement of Railfest weekend, the Station
Mall corridors will be filled with
                 model railroad displays and merchandise for buy, sale or
trade. In addition, AMTMA will
                 offer some of its own merchandise for sale including the
2002 Pennsylvania Train Station
                 Calendars and an assortment of
                 railroad postcards.

                 More, Miller emphasized that some proceeds from Scalefest
will go to support the
                 establishment of a toy train museum in Central Pa.

and history behind the big
                 railroads, don't miss the wonder and excitement of toy
trains and model railroading at
                 Scalefest, inside the Station Mall," Miller said.
