Although the gates are breakaway (I think) there may be safety concerns
about possibly trapping a car inside the gates?
Besides-with all the stuff these days about not spending dollars on much, I
really have problems with millions of dollars in grade crossing eliminations
or gate changes (as happens here on Long Island) when it seems to be there
to prevent stupidity.....If an 18 wheeler goes around the warning and closed
gates, is that anyone's fault but his own really? Sad but should huge picket
fences be put on every roof because some people jump off buildings...
