And for those who would like to visit another one of Jersey City's historic
railroad landmarks, the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy offers the
following walking tour:
The Bergen Arches and Erie Cut
Sunday, June 24th, 2001
10am sharp
Meet outside the Grove Street PATH Station
* Rain or shine
* Tour lasts approximately two hours
* Bring a small water bottle
* Wear boots and long sleeve pants and shirt
* Join us for post-tour spirits at the Hamilton Park Ale House
The Bergen Arches and Erie Cut, once part of the mighty Erie Railroad, are
now a vast urban rain forest. Walk through a long narrow corridor of folding
cliffs and moss-covered concrete arches.
