    According to the book "Passenger and Freight Stations of the Delaware and 
Hudson" (page 165), the D&H originally used a Maiden Lane station, which was 
built in 1873.  That station was demolished in 1901, when Union Station 
opened.  The picture that appears in the book of the Maiden Lane station is 
not a very good one, and I don't know any further details of that station.
