Yes, he was thinking of the "D&H Building". Does CP use it today?

Yes, D&H always used the NYC Station.  There was no other station in
downtown Albany. I have no idea what they used before that station was
built. This is why a new Union Station was needed in Albany to bring trains
conveniently all into one location which also gave D&H access to New York
City via the NYC. D&H Power ended at Albany obvioisly because D&H engines
were not ATC equiped.
