Re: (rshsdepot) PRR Schuylkill Branch Questions
Pottsville station was nothing but a center island platform with a track on
either side for RDC trains that last operated the route in 1981. The
Pottsville Line was the longest diesel commuter line on the Reading/SEPTA
with Bethlehem Branch second. There is talk of Reading commuter service in
few years that would use dual mode diesels as owner NS does not want
catenary strung on this route.
