I don't think it is any closer from Tottenville to Perth Amboy than up where
the rail bridge is...also although I don't have a nautical chart for there
(I do for Newtown Creek area), I think it may actually be rougher and deeper
water there: whether this means anything to do with bridge building I am not
sure...Also where exactly the Fulton Street they meant was...maybe it was in
Jersey and they were going to use two ferries, one from NJ to SI and one to
Whitehall..I am not sure a Fulton Street is in SI
