A couple of years ago a calf got loose in Queens. It didn't try to get =
up on the El or go into the subway, but it did run up and down streets =
in Jackson Heights or Astoria I think (Bowery Bay back in 1895). This =
being more enlightened (or sappy) times, this more current loose bovine =
in the city was not sent back to the slaughter house, but rather to a =
petting farm upstate!
