Re: (rshsdepot) ALDENE PLAN

rshsdepot
Communipaw ended 1966. Service to 8 Street, Bayonne ended under CR in 1977
same time Cleveland-Youngstown service ended.

EL's last passenger train was Lake Cities in 1970. Phoebe Snow ended in
1969. EL ferries were gone 11/67.

Aldene plan was a connecting track at Roselle Park between LV and CNJ Main
Via a Ramp. Roselle Park was the only new station on the LV. Commuter trains
enter PRR at Hunter in Newark. This made the commuter to NYC farhter and
more time consuming than going to Jersey City. Another politically motivated
failed idea.
