The weather was cloudy with a few sprinkles but not enough to stop work. The sign-up sheet shows 14 volunteers were working on the building. In addition we talked to 8 new friends who were using the Rail Trail. Many people on the trail just stopped to look.
Outside work preparing for painting included replacing roof braces, detailing the north and west walls, weatherproofing the bay windows, and restoring the south wall window. Last but not least we cleaned up scrap wood around the depot. Another good Saturday.
The plan is to work on Wednesday June 15 and again on Saturday June 18.
We are also looking for people or businesses to sponsor a window in the depot for $650. We need 13 windows and a plaque with your name will be attached to each window.
