(LVRR) Victor NY/Ontario Central

If anyone hasn't caught it there is a nice article in the June RMC on the
Ontatio Central RR, which operates the former LV between Shortsville and
Victor NY (southeast of Rochester). There is a sidebar with 7 color photos
from back in the day, and some historical tidbits on the line.

Question: Was the current connecting track in Victor, from the LV over to
the old NYC Auburn Road, built in 1976, or earlier? There are a few
examples in the PRR/PC control era of consolidations that make me wonder -
one example, the PC operated a bit of the LV in Canastota for at least a few
years after the LV pulled out (somewhere I have, or have seen, a PC era
track zone map that shows it). Another would be the PRR trackage rights to
serve their Rochester branch after abandoning most of it.

Also seems to me that this segment was initially operated out of Geneva,
since the current connection ramp did not exist in 1976.

Food for discussion -
