Wow, that is wierd. I used to work at Dingens and Harlem. Is it torn down
completely? Who was behind this move and where is the Preservation Society of
Erie County when you need them?
Does anyone remember the restaurant that opened there after the railroad
cleared out?
I remember going to the station with my dad (LV engineer) when he got in
trouble with LV brass (I think it was over some cars hitting the ground that
they pinned on him). There was a scale model (perhaps "O" scale) of EMD F-3s
(A-B-B-A) that were in a glass case in the super's office at that station. Does
anyone know what ever became of them? I was only about 10 (if that) at the
time, so my recollection may be a little off. I just remember being fascinated
by that model.
