(LVRR) Asbury Park, NJ HO anthracite club open house

The HO scale Garden State Central Model Railroad Club of Asbury Park, NJ
will be hosting a special holiday season open house on December 5, 6 & 7
Friday 7-9 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 1-5 p.m.

The December show is for families when we run colorful, famous trains rather
than the strictly true-to-anthracite models we normally run. However, the
scenery is just as coal-oriented.

New this year is the completed, working replica of one of the CNJ's Pier 18
MacMyler coal dumpers. We have also reworked our scenery in Wilkes-Barre and
are in the early stages of some new mountains in the Lehigh River valley.
The Bethlehem Steel mill remains in progress, while the Huber colliery is
still in the cardboard mock-up stage.

The whole layout has been refurbished, with new Plexiglas, additional
scenery and amenities. If you haven't been awhile, you'll notice the
improvements.

Also on display will be the Reading 2-10-0 featured on the cover of the
December issue of Railroad Model Craftsman.
