Paul,

Attached is a photo of an Erie boxcar at Essex, CT, taken in 2002. I'm not
sure this is the one you were asking about.
I've attached a detail of its data stenciling, which indicates a build date
of 9 52 (It's also stenciled "NEW 6 87" as seen
in the full photo). I hope some of this might be helpful.
