In going through my photos, I found this slide I shot when I was still in high school (March 1989). It was an "artsy-fartsy" view of the Main Street overpass in Boonton looking west at a setting sun. The three-aspect DL&W-style signal is neatly silhouetted on the center of the bridge (today, it's long gone), and the snow-covered roof of the freight house can be seen in the far center distance. This scene was little changed from the last days of the EL.

Today, the left staircase up to the bridge is rebuilt, there is now a little passenger shelter just past the bridge on the right-hand side, and all signal apparatus on the bridge is gone. The tree just past the bridge on the right is gone, all torn down with the reconstruction of Morris Avenue.
