The Erie Lackawanna Dining Car Preservation Society has placed an order
with Buffalo China to reproduce the Erie's Starrucca pattern dining car
china. This pattern was first used in the 1940's and was in use on the
Erie Lackawanna right up until the end of passenger service. From now
until September 30, we are offering this china at pre-production prices.

We are producing a five piece placesetting: 9-3/4" dinner plate, 8-3/8"
plate, 3-3/4" X 5-1/4" oval vegetable dish and coffee cup & saucer. We a
re
also producing a demitasse cup and saucer and a butter pat. All of this
china is the heavy hotel china. It is safe to use and dishwasher safe.
I
have attached a picture of the pattern to the list. If you would like a
pre-production order form, please email me and I'll get you one right awa
y.
Each piece will be backstamped with the date and Erie Lackawanna 741 to
avoid confusion with the originals (the original pieces were never
backstamped).

As mentioned earlier, we are now shipping coffee roasted and blended to t
he
original Erie Lackawanna flavor. This coffee is a small but important pa
rt
of recreating the total Erie Lackawanna dining car experience. This coff
ee
is available now at $4.99 for a 10 oz. bag. It will remain fresh sealed
in
the package for up to six months. We are offering both a regular and a
decaffeinated blend. I have attached a photo of this also. Again email
me
and I'll get you an order form.

Also, as Paul mentioned yesterday, we will have the 741 on display at
Steamtown this weekend. We will be there each day to show you the car.
If
you don't have any plans this weekend, come to Scranton and see our proje
ct
to recreate EL long distance passenger operations. Also, we will be
selling our new book, "Recipes of the Erie Lackawanna - Dinner in the Din
er
1964-1970". You can also email me and I'll get you ordering info for thi
s
book as well. We hope to have it available through amazon.com shortly.

As always, the ELDCPS thanks everyone for their continued support.
