All,

Sixty years ago today was a memorable day for me. It was the occasion of the Centennial Celebration of the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway.

They celebrated in grand fashion with two trains running from Warwick to Belvidere, one with the Reading 2124, the other with two shiny RS-3’s. If memory serves, both trains had 16 cars. In particular, I remember the 2124 tearing through Great Meadows on the return. It was impressive to say the least.

After chasing all day, a stop was made at Port Morris. This was my first time there and probably my sole visit to this location in Lackawanna days. My three Brownie Camera shots are attached.
