Subject: Walthers 10-6 Sleeper

DL&W and EL HO Modelers,

As you may know, Walther has introduced a streamlined PS 10-6 sleeper. The DL&W/EL had 10-6's, but made by ACF. From what I can tell, these are pretty close, but Walthers is not announcing them in either DL&W or EL. Based on what little I know about Walthers, it not very likely that will offer a decorated version for either livery.

However, Walthers announced an undecorated version which one could paint and letter using Prime Mover decals. Unfortunately, the undecorated version is presently only available without side skirts. Below is the reply I received from Walthers about the availability of the 10-6 with side skirts, like the PRR version.

If you are interested, you might take part in their survey and indicate your preference for a decorated version in DL&W and/or EL or the undecorated version with side skirts. Can't hurt.

At this point, there has been no discussion of producing that model in undecorated, with skirts.
