Subject: Erie caboose lettering... Questions and current status of decals
"pmd031.jpg" - image/jpeg, 46299 bytes, 936x192 (24bit)

Hi folks,

As I mentioned a while back, I'm just completing an HO scale
decal set for Erie cabooses (wood or steel). Attached is a "draft" of
the artwork. The lettering includes all the variations that was I able
to find (thanks to Matt Klemchalk for technical assistance here).

The questions I have involve the VERY small lettering:

1. When did the Erie switch from abbreviating Susquehanna" from
"SQA" to just "SQ"?
2. What were the locations where cabooses were
repaired/repacked? I've seen "SQA/SQ" (Susquehanna), "CX" (Croxton), and
"DO" (Dunmore) - I know there must have been other locations as well
(notably on the west end!) - what were those locations? (I'd like to
make sure I add jumbles for those locations as well)
3. Does anyone know if there were other dates on the Dunmore
cabooses that received BLT dates (stencilled in the larger 3" lettering)
other than 9-45 and 10-45?

Thanks in advance!

- Paul

P.S. Thanks to an interested list member, I will also be making DL&W O
scale wood caboose decals - details will follow....
