Todd,
The only accurate model was offered as a resin kit from KV models. (Scott Lupia) I'm not sure if they are still available.
These were models of the ex-DL&W caboose, and some made it into EL. With PMD decals, they could be made into nice EL cars.
Not really difficult to build, but they do take some time to get right.
I have attached a photo of my DL&W version.
The Walthers Bay window caboose is pretty accurate for the for the International Car Co. caboose delivered in two groups. One in 1969, #s 351 to 370 and the second group delivered in 1970, #s 371 to 380.
The second group was delivered without roof walks as is the Walthers model, however, the model is numbered C356 which was delivered with roofwalks.
I checked the model with some pictures and it does have a few differences, most notable is the side windows on the model are rounded in the corners.
It also is in dire need of some nice paint and some PMD decals, as it is molded in bright red plastic.
The ER models Bay Window from several years back was also close, but again No Cigar. biggest difference was the model has 3 windows per side were as the EL's cars had 2.
I will say that when these cars are painted in GMY and are nicely decaled, they look very nice and the window difference isn't a glaring error.
Waiting now on the Athearn EL Bay window.

The JJL resin kit is good for the HO scale folks I presume ( it doesn't say
on the website), but is there anything accurate for those of us in N scale
for EL cabeese?
