Good Afternoon All, Some time ago, I scanned a 1934 DL&W Suburban Timetable, just so I could look through it without handling it again. As the activity on the EL List has gotten scant in recent times, I thought it might be interesting to share these scans. Even though this is suburban service, I found some details of interest and maybe you will as well. The main thing of note for me is that there are no weekend schedules, just weekday and Sunday schedules. It was very common for folks to work a half day on Saturday in that era. This is reflected in the weekday schedule where several trains are shown to not run on Saturday afternoons. A particular train of note in the weekday schedule is Train 1009 which departs Hoboken at 320 AM running to Branchville via the Morristown Line. For this reason, it appears in both the Morristown Line and Branchville Line schedules. I’m pretty sure this was known as the Paper Train for the obvious reason. It must have done a lot of work because it was scheduled for two hours and eleven minutes to Dover. ;The first 16 pages are attached here, the rest to follow. Dan McFaddenMountain Lakes, NJ
