You asked for it.... :)

This is as much progress as I have made. It stalled a few years ago because of two growing daughters (now teenagers!).... not much time for modeling, alas.

This photo is taken from essentially the same location as the calendar photo. The first of the three signal bridges seen hanging over the subroadbed in the photo is at the same location as the calendar photo, to give you some perspective.

Eastbound SF-100 has just completed its relatively easy trip across the Cut-Off and will now be entering what will be a primarily downgrade trip to Little Falls on the way to its Croxton Yard destination. UN Tower stands watch over the interlocking with the Morristown and Washington lines, as well as the entrance to what little remains of the Port Morris yard. The infrastructure in this scene is impressive - everlasting Lackawanna concrete tower (it's still there today!), massive signal bridge, and tall-masted signals (to ensure a train working the yard at left doesn't obscure the signal indication). While Port Morris was way past its prime by the time of this photo, it still is an important location on the EL, even moreso when the "DL&W side" became the primary freight route to New York.
