Joshua and All,

I built mast color light signals for my 1952 era HO model of Port Morris
using parts from Oregon Rail Supply- ORS and Integrated Signal Systems -
ISS. I like the ORS heads and bases, but prefer the ISS brass parts for the
ladders and platforms. Also, I use Tomar lower quadrant semaphores for the
Sussex Branch as they are pretty close, though not sure about the S&U
signals. There is a link showing some of the signals on my layout. For the
semaphores, I use the Circuitron actuating mechanism to operate the signals.
The signal control circuits are homemade boards that use the track
occupancy, position of a switch or crossover and the next signal indication
as inputs. There is a photo showing two of those boards.

Joshua Blay wrote >I've been thinking more about signals for my Syracuse
Branch layout which means a mix of semaphores (lower quadrant) and color
light signals. While I'd love to have either operate that's not vital right
now. What are the best appropriate on the market today? Tomar makes some
semaphores that seem close- is a United Switch & Signal one appropriate? I
know there's a company that makes signal bridges with heads but these
wouldn't have been on the S&U. Anyone making free standing ones?
