The highest 1000 series number I could find is 1052. After that it skips to the 1100 series.

If there was a DL&W 1071, it was a 4-6-0. George Elwood's Fallen Flags site has a picture of 1063, an ex-Mother Hubbard rebuilt to rear cab.
