Re: (erielack) Steamtown Images--September 15, 2013 (C3311 thru C3315)



These coaches had such fine detailed appointments.  Something lacking from
today's cars.  I'm wondering if the ceilings were painted in cream and
maroon?  I was on a CNJ commuter train in the late 60s that still had cloth
seats and finished wood throughout.  It was probably one of the cars once
used on trains to Allentown and Harrisburg and somehow made it into the
commuter pool without being converted.  I think it probably had ice air
conditioning as well.  However I was riding it in the winter.
