(erielack) NS / Lackawanna 1074 comin' to Jersey

URHS requested and Pete Hasler confirmed with NS yesterday that Lackawanna 1074 will come to New Jersey to appear at the Open House in Boonton on Sunday, September 22nd.  And that means it'll work its way in and out of Boonton on freight trains, so there should be a few chances to catch it operating.

The Boonton event may be a little more crowded with year with visiting equipment and some relining of the main line due to the work on the Rockaway River Bridge in Boonton. Members of the ARHS, Tri-State and the ErieLack lists have had a hand in helping NS with the Lackawanna and other heritage units, so this will be a welcome appearance by many in our area. This so far is the first event appearance of the Lackawanna unit since Spencer last summer.
