(erielack) RE: Painting oddities... the covered hoppers

Back in the 70's I found a DL&W covered hopper(round)at the end of track
in Groveland Sta. It was just lettering on a rusty car,which I learned
was constructed of CorTen steel.

Did the Erie have such cars in the fleet ???

Could these have been the red cars ???

How many(CorTen) were in the respective fleets ???

Are any still in use in the as constructed finish ???
