The F-M TM booklet was very interesting to me.the photo of HB-9 moving west at Point of Gap is similar to slides i shot by climbing up te mountain on the NJ-side, one morning, of a coal train bound for Portland, following the Lake Cities out of Scranton, on the longest day of the year; i got both at Nay Aug tunnel, and hand-signalled the head brakeman that he had one car with stuck brakes back about 15 cars.
i guess they stopped somewhere to adjust that.
below the Water Gap shot is another of a westbound train at Paulins Kill Viaduct; you can see the LNE track underneath.
further down is a photo of another westward train, crossing over at Grove St., Jersey City.
BUT, where is the location of #852, in a yard with double-slip switches, BELOW THAT? The yard is non-electrified, with a steam-pipe crossing over it.
Intersting booklet, and good find.
