RE: (erielack) Toys For Tots over the former EL

> Four railroads are loaning engines, rolling stock and use of
> their tracks to Operation Toy Train. They are the Morristown
> and Erie Railway, New York, Susquehanna and Western, Norfolk
> Southern and New Jersey Transit. In addition to the Marines
> Corps Reserve and MTA, volunteers from the Volunteer
> Railroads Association will help run the event.
> The public is encouraged to drop-off new, unwrapped toys at
> the various collection points along the route. At each stop,
> one or more business or organization will have a collection box.
> On Sunday, Dec. 12 the train will make a stop in many towns
> including Dover at Sack's Paint & Wallpaper, 62 N. Sussex
> St., at 1:30 p.m. and in Rockaway, at Potbelly's Riverside
> Cafe: 26 E. Main St., at 2:30 p.m.
> The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots
> Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year to
> distribute as Christmas gifts to needy children in the
> community where the campaign is conducted. For more
> information about the program, visit www.njtoysfortots.org.
> For a complete list of drop-off location and times, visit
> www.njoperationtoytrain.org.

Please note that there will be NO stops on any former EL lines - the stops noted above are on the former CNJ Dover & Rockaway Branch, and it will also hit stops on the former CNJ High Bridge Branch. The stops can be seen at this page:

www.njoperationtoytrain.com (the above .org address is incorrect)

The train WILL be traversing the former DL&W to go between Morristown and the two separate CNJ lines, but that's as close to the EL as it gets.
