Re: (erielack) Crews for CNJ/EL joint trains

Paul & List,

This joint service was operated by both CNJ and EL crews

operating in a two-headed pool with home terminals at

Scranton and Elizabethport, I recall. Equity was split

on the basis of route miles via Lake Junction, I recall.

Recrews were furnished by either EL or CNJ depending

on where the train crew would expire. EL crews were

used to provide helper service on the Scranton Division.

Subject: (erielack) Crews for CNJ/EL joint trains

Hi folks,

Here's something I just thought of today - whose crews operated the joint

CNJ/EL SE-98/ES-99 trains? Did CNJ/EL crews swap at Lake Junction? Or did

CNJ and EL crews alternately take turns running these trains?

Thanks,

    - Paul
