Re: (erielack) Campbell Hall Cluster

Hi Randy,

Four Story Jct. refers to the exact location and now in a modern interpretation
the general vicinity of where the O&W bridge use to go over the Graham Line. The
bridge is no longer in existence. In the 1980s, I believe Conrail built a
connection from its Crawford Branch, the former O&W line, to connect directly
with the Graham Line. Four Story Jct. is located on the outskirts of the City of
Middletown. The location is probably in the Town of Wallkill.

Today, not much of the Erie passenger line survives in Middletown -- except for
some portions of the ROW. In the 1990s, The Erie Middletown passenger station
became the new home of Thrall Library.

The track at Graycourt might be for unloading and loading agricultural products.

Sincerely,
Walter

Subject: (erielack) Campbell Hall Cluster

The December RAILPACE speaks much of the M&U assumption of the operation of the
Campbell Hall Cluster, raising these questions:

1) Where is Four Story Junction? (And why the name?)

2) How much of the Erie passenger line through Middletown survives?

3) What is at Greycourt for them to serve?
