Thanks, Paul, for remembering them and posting them again.

While writing about them, I was struck by how L&N/EL looks like "LIONEL."  Just a passing thought.

Another:  Has anyone ever captured two or more locomotives from different railroads but with the same number in a consist?

Of course, technically this is a photo taken a year after the EL ceased to exist, but what the hey! ;)  They're still good shots, and kudos to Randy for capturing them.
