I do not know how the  Diamond  and renewal notices are mailed. A couple
of years ago TRAINS changed to send all the magazines for a ZIP code to
the postmaster in the ZIP code where they are sorted and distributed to
the addressee.

If the Diamond and renewal notices are individually mailed (most likely
IMO) then the labels on each should have the bar code added to the
address label.  Subscribers and members should check that their ZIP +4
code is in in their address and then the mailer should be easily able to
add the bar code.
