SIBL=Science, Industry and Business Library of the New York Public Library. 
Some, but not all, of the rail-related material is there, or must be ordered 
from offsite there.

Some of us spend considerable time doing research there. For those of you 
who have not been to NYC in many years, it is the old B.Altman's Department 
Store building.

In fact, the book piskup area is the "B. Altman" desk.

The quiz question of the day in the other thread is the result of spending 
many happy hours reading 1880s editions of the Coal Trade Journal . . .
