Back on the subject of ore trains. Why did EL not use ore jenny's like the upper Michigan railroads do? I mean sure it's cheaper to use out of date coal hoppers loaded halfway, but if they hauled ore for so many years <decades> why not get the specialized equipment for it?  I also read that in the 70's EL did buy hoppers specifically for ore service, but they look like coal hoppers to me....
