(erielack) Re: Amazing panoramic view of Rochester, ca. 1906

Good find Jim! I was flipping through the LOC site last week and came up with this nice Edison film of a coal dumper on the Erie coal dock in Cleveland. Shot in 1897 no less. The car that starts out in the dumper is an Erie car. When they push the next car in you can see the reporting marks on the second car. It reads "NYP&O". The New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio was the company that took over when the Atlantic and Great Western went toes up. This line ran from Salamanca, NY to Dayton, OH. After the NYP&O was reorganized it was simply called the NYPANO. It would later become part of the Erie.
