Re:RE: RE: (erielack) Yellow Erie diamonds (was: Speedwitch)

The original post said "Yellow decals". Not yellow diamonds with black circle and yellow lettering; nor yellow diamonds with black circle and white lettering; nor any specificity of the coloring of the rest of the lettering -- just "Yellow decals".

This all comes from years of fighting the Yellow-diamond-on-black hopper-cars battle. "The kit has it: it must be accurate!"

But, then -- it's only history. Those who know, know; the rest will do as they please.

I assume the original poster (Schuyler?) implied yellow diamonds, not lettering.

But what's the problem with including a yellow diamond, as long as it's explained that it was a very short-lived scheme? Heck, I include the "inverse" diamonds on my EL diesel decal set that appeared on the first 6 U33Cs as delivered (an "oops" on GE's part), and they only ran around that way for a month. But I *do* mention this in the instructions, and I know at least one person who has painted up such a unit... :)

Apparently, Mr. Culotta's decal set covers all the different Erie variations, so... what's the problem?
