Re: (erielack) Rationale for the Chester Branch

Steamtown NHS has a couple files in its archives on this subject:

[002/003.01.01-001-F012]--DL&W RR--Chief Engineers Files--0423--Chester
Branch--Proposed Abandonment (1931-1960)

[002/003.01.01-108-F21]--DL&W RR--Chief Engineers
Files--8052--Bridges-Chester Junction--Over CNJ Lake Hoptacong Branch
(1948-1954)

[002/006.01-004-F022]--DL&W RR--Superintendent of Signals Files--Chester
Branch--DL&W Crossed by CRRofNJ High Branch (August 1916 - December 1921)

I am not sure how much information is in the folders, but if anyone is
interested, let me know and I'll take a peek.

I am sure we have more on the Chester Branch, but this was a quick search.

We need history, not to tell us what happened or to explain the past, but
to make the past alive so that it can explain us and make a future
