RE: (erielack) More EL in Massachusetts!

Just because a tariff is still on the books doesn't mean the traffic still
exists. If B&M handled milk traffic after the mid-60's, I'd love to hear
about it. How did it get to Boston? By 1967, B&M had no passenger service
beyond the Boston-area commuter district.

The OJ move is interesting, and reminds me of the Tropicana juice train
(which wasn't in bulk). Assuming B&M participated in the linehaul, the most
likely routing in 1970 was SCL-Pot
Yard-B&O-Philadelphia-RDG-Allentown-CNJ-Wilkes-Barre-D&H-Mechanicville-B&M.
Another possibility is SCL-Pot Yard-PC-Rotterdam Jct-B&M.

And the milk rates were cancelled Oct. 20, 1970. However, by at least July,
1970, Hood was using three GPEX (Pfaudler design) cars to move citrus juices
in bulk from Florida to Charlestown, MA. Now there's a routing to ponder.
