An additional Lackawanna related picture is the West Side Yard on pages 66-67 or Classic Trains. Just under the "N" indicating "north" on page 66 is either Lackawanna's "Buffalo" or "Hoboken" on the 14th Street-23rd Street ferry line.
One thing I noticed about the tugs is the different designs. "Orange" and "Montclair" have tall stacks but low pilot houses. A related question: Where these wood-hulled boats?

Did someone mention it already to start the carfloat discussion, or hadn't
anyone noticed in the front of the fall Classic Trains is a 2-page photo of
the DL&W's tugs all lined up at the docks ready to go to work?
