That must have been a tight squeeze to run freight through the 4th Ave. 
tunnel but again in those days, cars were not the size they are now.  What ype was 
the majority of freight that used the tunnel?  By the way, Jim's "N" subway 
line is affectionately known to us New Yorkers as the "N"ever runs line.
