Does anyone have any more info on these loads, like where they originated? It seems like a strange routing if they were going to Bethlehem PA. I'm wondering why they didn't go the LV in Binghamton, instead of EL\CNJ\LV. Could it be because these cars once moved from Scranton to Easton on the CNJ? This is a neat picture. Makes me wish I was older during the EL years so I could have traveled around to see things like this. I do have memory's of EL\early Conrail trains passing my grand parents house by N. Newark but I was too young to really know what I was looking at. One thing I do remember clearly which I have seen mentioned on the list was Caboose's right behind the power on some freight trains. Sometimes it's funny what you remember from when you were a kid. They appeared on the rear of quite of few of these SE-98s. - Paul The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List http://EL-List.railfan.net/ To Unsubscribe: http://Lists.Railfan.net/erielackunsub.html ------------------------------
