Henry, Frank and list; Well, all-righty then... Sorry this news was not more to your liking. As for these models, I think that they probably _will_ be incredibly detailed, not to mention they come with lighting installed, among a host of other details that are not often done in Braille scale... If you all really want to see a Tavern Lounge car in N scale (or HO for that matter), I suggest you take it up with Rapido. They actually wore several paint scheme options that might make it more attractive to them for the tooling costs. Jim Harr Date: Tue, 3 Jun 2008 12:14:03 -0400 (EDT) From: "J. I'm one of the little guys and at $47.95 each for an N scale passenger car, it would have to be an incredibly detailed car that I absolutely needed to complete a period correct train. I know street price will be a little lower, but there are a couple of outfits selling pricey passenger cars in N scale and they don't seem to be big sellers. I have been watched one "buy it now" 8 car set on ebay for over a month now that has been relisted $10 lower and still hasn't sold at $23.75 per car. I may actually buy that set, I haven't decided yet. I have well over 100 passenger cars in N scale and I don't think I have yet paid over $20 for any of them. I'd probably go the brass car side route before I'd spend $40 or more for an N scale passenger car. I might spend $40 for a correct tavern Lounge :) I'm glad that I already have over 95% of the rolling stock and locos that I'll ever need in N scale as the prices continue to spiral out of control for the average modeler. I can afford pricey models (I have bought brass in both HO and N), but for double price models I need them to be really worth it in some way. If they were $25 a car then I'd have no qualms, but at a list of $47.95 they appear to be collector's items more than runners. Henry J.
