Hi Folks, A new informal email group is being established for the purpose of discussing EL freight operations. Topics will include, but not be limited to freight schedules, blocking and classification, freight customers, freight cars and trailers/containers, and related models. Much as I dislike creating "splinter" groups, I think this material does not interest a majority of List members, so this will reduce irrelevant "chatter" for many of you. Also, several interested parties are not on the List. This will be supplemental to, not substitute for the main List. Discussion of this material has actually been taking place off-List from time to time, and this arrangement will simplify inclusion of interested parties. Since we expect the roster to be relatively small, I would think no more than 20 people, it will not be website-based (eg Yahoo group). Any subject matter felt to be of potentially wider interest will be discussed on the EL List, including "borderline" material. If you would like to be included in this sub-group, please send me an email.
