I was thumbing through CLASSIC TRAINS yesterday, looking at the story
about Pullmans through the years. There was a picture of a modern NYC
Sleeper named "Passaic River". I found that interesting because the
Passaic River is an off-line river. I'm pretty sure the NYC never
intersected with it. I wonder if NYC also had a "Hackensack River"?
Interesting that NYC would name a car after a location they never
served. Admittidly they got close to it but eastern Bergen County
doesn't count for me.
